Originally from Atlanta, Alexandria completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Georgia. She was consistently passionate about art throughout undergrad and chose Scientific Illustration as her area of focus. To specialize in the field, she became intrigued by the Biomedical Visualization program here at UIC and focused on microbiology and animation.
Currently, she is studying anatomy and taking courses in basic medical illustration techniques. She hopes to specialize in medical animation for either legal purposes or surgical procedures.
Upon graduation, she would like to work as a freelance artist with doctors and surgeons to improve upon patient interactions. She hopes to utilize her artistic communication background to convey complex procedures to patients and their families.
