About
Dr. Kitsiou’s research, service, and teaching experiences are in the areas of telehealth/telemonitoring, mobile health informatics, health technology assessment, and research synthesis methods with a focus on systematic reviews and meta-analyses of eHealth and mHealth interventions. Dr. Kitsiou’s mHealth lab studies the application, use, and effectiveness of mobile health interventions, including the use of wearable sensor devices and mobile apps for self-management of cardiovascular disease and other chronic conditions such as diabetes, COPD, and asthma. Dr. Kitsiou is an Associate Editor in the prestigious series of JMIR Journals, which include among others the Journal of Medical Internet Research and JMIR mHealth and uHealth.
