Caitlin David

Originally from Eagan, Minnesota, Caitlin went to Washington University in St. Louis to do her undergraduate studies. She had a clear idea that she wanted to study both art and biology, but feared she would have to choose between the two fields. Discovering biomedical illustration suddenly gave purpose to both majors, and she is thrilled to be starting her graduate degree at UIC.

After spending time between her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Minnesota working in research to collect data from tissues and cells, Caitlin is currently busy immersing herself in her anatomy classes and drawing the body on a more macro scale. She looks forward to learning digital and 3D techniques to represent what she sees.

Caitlin remains open to different opportunities to learn specialized topics. She hopes to continue to contribute to academia and the world of clinical research.
