About
Dr. Ingram, a licensed clinical psychologist, provides diagnostic services for adults with a wide range of developmental disabilities as well as mental health consultation and psychotherapy for adults who are dually diagnosed with a developmental disability and a mental health problem. She has supervised clinical practicum students and has coordinated a didactic seminar for graduate trainees. In the 25 years Dr. Ingram has worked at the Family Clinics, she has had the opportunity to work with clients with diverse backgrounds, interests, needs and concerns. She has a holistic/strengths based approach to working with adults with developmental disabilities, with a focus on strategies to enhance quality of life and well-being. She has particularly valued the opportunity to train future psychologists in working with people with developmental disabilities, an area that is not generally covered well in graduate programs. Dr. Ingram received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University. She completed her predoctoral clinical internship at the Illinois State Psychiatric Institute, working on UIC Dept. of Psychiatry’s Research Unit.
