About
Mark D. Grabiner is the director of the Clinical Biomechanics and Rehabilitation Laboratory at UIC. The broad focus of the laboratory is on the influence of normal and pathological aging on the human neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems and, in particular, the influence of aging on locomotion. The goals of the laboratory include characterization of the modifiable mechanisms underlying the incidence of falls and fall-related injuries in older adults, and translation of research findings to the design, development and deployment of clinically-relevant technologies and interventions to reduce the incidence of falls by older adults.
