Dr. Lee is part of clinical faculty in the Occupational Therapy Department at UIC. She's the lead instructor for Occupational Performance in Adolescents & Adults & Synthesis II, co-instructor for Therapeutic Use of Self, Psychosocial Aspects of Occupational Performance, Human Structure & Function, and facilitator for Synthesis III. Her clinical experience is in adult neurological/cognitive rehabilitation. As part of her post-doctoral training at UIC, Jenica collaborated with Dr. Jan Sandqvist, in the English translation of the Assessment Work Performance (AWP). The AWP is an observation tool based on the Model of Human Occupation, to assess individual work functioning and guide OT interventions related to work readiness and return to work outcomes. Her current scholarly interests include integrating theory to enhance OT education and practice, self-management for people with chronic conditions, and promoting health & wellness in aging populations. In particular, she is working with Anders Kottorp in exploring the everyday technology use and e-Health services among older adults with and without functional limitations.

Service to the Community
She has served as an OT consultant to the Chinese American Service League (CASL) since 2016 that included development and delivery of a series of inservices and training with the CASL home aides through their Department of Aging homemaker program in efforts to enhance supports, safety, and participation of community-dwelling older adults.
